Latest software integrated into helicopter simulators used by Spanish Army
Envitia’s high-performance MapLink Pro software has been integrated into the latest helicopter simulators at one of Europe’s leading pilot training centres.
The Helicopter Simulation Centre (CESIHEL) at Agnocillo Base in northern Spain is a state-of-the-art facility used by the Aviation Academy of the Spanish Army to provide training to its pilots and maintenance crews. It is also a European leader in joint tactical training for helicopter crews, including advanced tactical capabilities in various operating scenarios.
The new simulators have been developed by global technology group Indra, utilising Envitia’s Maplink Pro software development toolkit. Each simulator is connected to a network, enabling training in the most complex mission scenarios, with a high degree of realism, in all types of weather conditions.
“We are pleased to contribute to the success of this training facility with our flexible, high performance software development toolkit, MapLink Pro,” said Nabil Lodey, CEO of Envitia. “The ability to provide fully-networked joint operational training has proven to be important for training crews prior to deployment to harsh operational environments.”
