Announcing Envitia’s local charities for 2024, all voted for by our team

We are delighted to reveal the 5 local charities our team have chosen as Envitia’s nominated local community charities for 2024 and the focus of our company-wide fundraising efforts and support.

These Horsham and West Sussex based charities were shortlisted from a list of exceptional organisations that tackle economic inequality, climate change and promote equal opportunities in our local communities. Addressing these issues reflects Envitia’s culture and is important to our people; our company’s commitment and mission to make a positive impact is documented and led by our passionate CSR team. In 2024, we’re proud to support these charities for the first time:

Sussex Green Living – a multi award-winning charity that provides a network and facilitates initiatives for the benefit of our local community and the planet.

Horsham Food Matters – relieves hardship through the provision of essential services (food, fuel and shelter) in order to make a positive, long-lasting impact on people’s lives.

Chestnut Tree House – provides hospice care services and community support for children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.

West Sussex Mind – supports people with their mental health, provides specialist training and campaigns to improve services and promote understanding.

In 2024, Envitia will continue to support Holbrook Animal Rescue. We are all very familiar with the charity and have often fundraised for this excellent animal rescue centre – in 2023, some of our team braved a 26 mile hike across the South Downs to raise money to support the charity’s reluctant relocation to a new site. We look forward to continuing our support throughout 2024 for the all the important work they do.

We plan to focus our fundraising, volunteering and project work for each of our 4 new charities for 3 months in turn throughout the year, starting with Sussex Green Living in January. We already have a ‘green’ themed charity day in February and participation in ‘Green Week’ organised by local colleges in March planned in the calendar.

Watch this space for our next charity-focused blog sharing all the great work Sussex Green Living do to inspire and empower local people, consumers, communities and businesses to live green, play green and work green.
