Driving Advantage at DSEI 2025: Envitia’s Role in Preparing the Future Force
DSEI UK 2025, running from 9–12 September at ExCeL London, is anchored around the overarching theme “Preparing the Future Force”, with key sub-themes including “Driving Advantage: Digital Transformation as a Force Multiplier.”
At the heart of DSEI’s “Driving Advantage” narrative is the reality that the digital battlefield is no longer tomorrow’s vision – it is today’s environment. Nations are equipping their forces with capabilities that enhance speed, decision-making, lethality, and interoperability across domains.
This ambition aligns closely with the UK’s Strategic Defence Review (SDR), which places digital transformation, resilience, and cross-domain integration at the centre of Defence modernisation. Key focus points emerging from the SDR, from greater exploitation of data to the delivery of multi-domain integration, reinforce the urgency of building the digital foundations of tomorrow’s force today.

The Royal Navy forums talk on Future Maritime Deployed Digital Connectivity (DECIDE) highlights the urgency of delivering robust, resilient naval networks.
DECIDE is about more than connectivity; it is about ensuring decision-makers can act faster and with confidence in complex, contested environments. The UK MOD’s wider focus on programmes like the ASGARD DDaD programme demonstrates the same ambition: to build trusted, connected, and data-enabled systems that empower commanders at every level.

Preparing for AI: Exploiting Data at Speed
Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be a critical enabler of future military advantage…but only if it is supported by trusted data architectures and rapid data exploitation.
The MOD AI Strategy and the work of the Defence AI Centre (DAIC) both emphasise that AI in Defence is about preparing the battlespace: ensuring data is accessible, secure, and operationally useful at the point of need.
Envitia’s role is to build the digital foundations that enable Defence to move faster; providing the architectures, frameworks, and services that ensure data can be trusted, exploited, and operationalised in support of AI-driven advantage.
