We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer who possesses a strong understanding of SQL engineering, ETL engineering and someone who is proficient working with a variety of data sources. You will need to be comfortable building dimensional data models within various DW environments within the public sector.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
- Set up, maintain and improve automated data processes where required using data transformation tools, data warehousing and ETL tools
- Identify, evaluate and implement external services and tools to support data processing, manipulation, validation and cleansing
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to provide data business solutions, including publishing data and sharing data through file processes and APIs
- Strong Python and SQL coding skills
- Ability to produce data solutions that support ML and AI applications
- Detail oriented with strong data analysis and modelling expertise, including metadata management
- Experienced and knowledgeable in using open source libraries and tooling
- Working knowledge of AWS and/or Azure components
- Proven experience with building and testing pipelines
- Is adaptable and an enthusiastic learner who can demonstrate an ability to become proficient with new tools, technologies and systems quickly
