ChartLink

Chartlink 4D is a sophisticated application suite providing continuous and coherent environmental information across any specialist geospatial activity.

Data may be displayed and analyzed in 2D and 3D with an added temporal dimension for examining changes over a period of time. It supports all major Open Industry Standards for data exchange including a wide range of data, and open access to third party systems. Chartlink 4D makes extensive use of meta-data for reference, data tracking and discovery.

Chartlink 4D supports collaborative work with the ability to automatically synchronise catalogs across a wide user base, yet is mindful of the requisites of military/security applications, and through its efficient use of bandwidth can ensure that only the data that is actually needed is ever transmitted between users. A consistent high quality approach is taken to data handling, including error checking throughout, and the usage of a highly advanced GIS engine.

It is already in operational usage within the MoD and NATO in areas such as campaign planning (both land and amphibious), Joint Command and Control, terrain reconnaissance and analysis, weather considerations; production of go/no-go assessments, environmental impact assessments - even whole theater datasets complete with 3D fly-through and mission rehearsals. The applications are many!

Components of Chartlink 4D include:

  • Environmental Fusion and Interpretation Tool
  • Environmental Catalog and Spatial Data Manager
  • Specialist Data Processing Tools
  • Distribution Mechanisms
  • Viewer Mechanisms (Web based and Stand-alone)

Open System Architecture with Programr's Interface allows straightforward integration of other component applications for inclusion of the very latest models and processing algorithms. Chartlink 4D is also open to different databases including track positions and real time data feeds.
