MapLink Pro 5.4 Obtains OGC Compliance

TENET's MapLink Pro geospatial development toolkit becomes one of the first products to achieve compliance against the OpenGIS® Web Map Service (WMS) Implementation Specification, Version 1.3.0.
In line with TENET's commitment to open standards, the MapLink Pro 5.4 WMS is now officially compliant with versions 1.1.1 and 1.3.0 of the specification, as well as implementing versions 1.0 and 1.1.
MapLink Pro's Product Manager, Martin Hyett, commented: "Being a member of the Open GIS Consortium, TENET is proud to support its efforts to standardise geospatial web services, making it easier for users to access their data from a wide range of sources."
As well as map data, the MapLink Pro WMS allows other geospatial data to be made available via plug-ins. MapLink Pro based applications can also act as clients to web services such as WMS. This means that data can be read from remote servers as well as from a local store, providing the flexibility to display data wherever it is held.
MapLink Pro WMS is part of a suite of components designed to help developers build high performance mapping applications. MapLink Pro is based around a number of SDKs ( Software Development Kits) that provide support for a variety of capabilities, including Terrain Analysis, Geometry Editing, 3D and Web Services.
