Chairman Elected for CUTLAS-UTMC User Group

Many delegates travelled long distances to hear the future plans for CUTLAS and discuss their experiences with other Users.  Attendees were also able to tour the Devon County Council Control Room in which CUTLAS plays a prominent and key role.  [Ref Control Room photo “courtesy of Barco Ltd”]

The format of the day included presentations from TENET but more importantly from four users who described their innovative developments with CUTLAS that are helping them to meet their obligations under the Traffic Management Act 2004. 

Since its inception two years ago the CUG has grown to include decision makers and those working with the product on a day to day basis.  Users congregate to discuss  priorities for updates  and to influence collectively the development of CUTLAS and other ITS related products.

Darren Capes, newly appointed chairman of the CUG urged all users of CUTLAS UTMC systems to participate in the group and added “CUTLAS users will find the  CUG extremely useful both by offering a forum to meet and talk to other users and in having  a direct link to TENET and the future development of the system”.
