Envitia attended the Career Fair held at the University of Surrey on Thursday 11 October 2012. The fair gave us an opportunity to promote the company to students, who will soon be entering the workplace. It was well attended, with around 2000 students from all areas of the University. Steven Millard and Kushal D’Souza, two of our engineers gave the students demos of Raster runtime re-projection, MapLink 3D and MapLink Advanced C2./p
Envitia attended a further Careers Fair on Wednesday 7 November for the Brighton and Sussex Universities. This was held at the Amex Community Stadium at Falmer, Brighton. There were more than 4,000 students who attended the event and our stand was visited by a very good number of them. As well as HR – Mary Asante and Tamsin Horne, there were 4 of our engineers – Daniel Reed, David Morris, Michael Grundel and Sam Hubble to promote the company and give the students a good insight into what Envitia has to offer as an employer.
Several demos were on hand to give a brief overview of some of our products, which attracted a good number of IT students to our stand. Overall, the fair was a great success and we are already receiving CVs from potential candidates looking for work in the coming year.
